Piperhill attended the showcase of finalists for the Construction Excellence Awards 2019 at Foyle College, Derry/Londonderry on 11th September 2019.
As a first time entrant we were delighted that our Project, Barking & Dagenham ‘Future’ Youth Zone was shortlisted in the GB & ROI Construction Award Category below £5M.
London’s first OnSide Youth Zone is a purpose-built facility for the borough’s young people aged 8 –19, and up to 25 for those with disabilities. The infrastructure of facilities is based upon OnSide’s 21st Century Youth Facility Mode for deprived areas across the UK. The 42,000 sq. ft. facility provides an array of world class amenities, including a four court sports hall, martial arts studio, state-of-the-art climbing wall, fitness suite, arts, crafts, fashion studio, cookery classes, multi-media studio, 3G Kick pitch & Skate park.
The fantastic display of Construction projects at the CEF Awards showcase stems across fifteen categories recognises the industry’s contribution to society, in providing clean water, new roads, new homes, modern hospitals, fit-for-purpose schools and places to shop, work, worship and socialise. They also celebrate the preservation of our built heritage and the efforts of construction companies to protect their workers, the environment and jobs.
The awards is a testament of the high calibre of projects delivered by local Contractors within the Northern Ireland, GB & ROI Construction Industry.
We look forward to the gala evening on the 10th October to celebrate all shortlisted finalists and the overall winners.
