Piperhill have carried out an extensive refurbishment of the Northwest Corner of The Berkeley Hotel, including all amenities on ground level.
Included in the scope of works is The Cedric Grolet Patisserie, where we were responsible for the complete reconfiguration of the once entrance foyer, reception and staff offices for the hotel, into an open plan reception and brand-new Patisserie under French chef Cedric Grolet.
Designed by French interior designer Rémi Tessier as a high end pastry ‘lab’ with polished stainless steel, the walls feature carved flowers and lemons, representing Cédric Grolet’s first ever union of his fruit and flower creations, and scallop floor tiles throughout the kitchen.
This was one of the final phases of our extensive refurbishment of the entire North West corner of the Hotel; which began with the relocation and refurbishment to a number of BOH facilities on basement level such as the pastry kitchen, laundry room, staff restaurant and all connecting corridors. An additional floor had then been added to the top of the hotel to facilitate the hotels brand new spa area, including a bar, terrace and swimming pool. Then, we had carried out the refurbishment of all 27 suites and rooms on the Northwest of the hotel.
