Since 2010, Piperhill construction have been tasked with a plethora of works ranging from the constant refurbishment and fit-out of various luxury suites designed by some of the worlds most prolific designers; corridors, restaurants, bars and world renowned spa facilities, through to all back of house amenities such as the relocation and refurbishment of all 3 of Marcus Wareing’s state of the art kitchen facilities, staff changing and meeting rooms to name but a few.
During the course of 2020, we have been fortunate enough to have been allowed to continue on site where government restrictions have allowed and extensive strategies have been put in place. In fact, due to the hotels closure and after its partial reopening, we have been able to complete a number of projects in six months that would have otherwise been spread over the course of years.
Our recent projects have included the complete strip out of all rooms and amenities situated on the North West corner of the hotel. We stripped out this section of the hotel to shell and core, fully restructured are now in the process of refurbishing various room typologies as well as the refurbishment of various corridors throughout the existing hotel including the 3rd and 4th floors being stripped out and refurbished within a 12 week duration period.
In terms of the back of house facilities, we have relocated and refurbished the laundry rooms and food storage facilities and kitchens. We are now near completion on an additional main kitchen that spans almost 40% of the footprint of the hotel. This is due to be completed in the next week.
Now as we approach the festive season, we are again responsible for all Christmas decorations not just for The Berkeley, but for The Maybourne Groups other London hotels; The Connaught and Claridges. We look forward to showcasing each hotels Christmas festivities and cross our fingers that the public will be able to fully embrace the celebrations given these testing times.
Piperhill are set to continue to thrive in London’s hospitality industry for the remainder of 2020, despite the ongoing restrictions due to Coronavirus.
